Fling came to Backspace Communications from the Broadcast Industry. He founded Central Coast Entertainment, KCCE TV50, San Luis Obispo. His facilities experience covered production, post production, and broadcast.

Fling also has a successful winery and tasting room in Paso Robles, CA.

Fling started his carrer in rubber product sales. He ultimately came to own the largest rubber goods manufacturing facility in East Los Angeles where he was known as, "The Hose King".

Chief Technical Officer

Joseph brought his low level networking knowledge to Backspace from Digitalputty. He founded Digitalputty, an Internet Service Provider, in San Luis Obispo, CA, in 1999.

Prior to founding Digitalputty, Joseph worked as a System Administrator for an animated Film Studio in Berkeley, CA.

Joseph started his professional career as a Mechanical Engineer working in the Research & Development field of Sports Medicine.

Backspace Communications has taken the next step forward in media convergence. While there is no shortage of content, Backspace Communications is the first ever content provider of its kind. Backspace delivers live television channels, radio stations, and premium movie channels to you in real time over your existing phone lines.

The networks deployed by Telephone Companies Worldwide far outreach any other deployed broadcast network. Telephone lines are in virtually every home, even the most remote.

Two Distinct Services

Backspace Communications endeavours to bring the most content possible to the largest audience possible. In order to do so we had to set up two disinct services.

While some producers and content providers want to distribute their media as far as possible, others have limitations with respect distribution imposed on them. To address both parties and to remain true to our goals, we have established one service available only over closed network paths, and a totally different service that can be accessed via the Internet.

What this means is that we provide both the traditional Cable Lineup and do so without traversing the Internet. In addition, we also provide a unique lineup including some traditional programming, and broadcast that content separately over the Internet.
